Inauguration Ball: Merritt Group in True Texas Style

Amid a sea of cowboy hats and boots, a few Merritt Group(ers) - myself, Michelle Schafer and Christy Maginn - along with former client Caleb Sima, co-founder of SPI Dynamics, attended the Texas Black Tie & Boots Inauguration Ball on Monday night, January 19, 2009.

Merritt Group is pleased to be a part of the celebrations taking place to usher in this new era in U.S. history and politics. What an historic moment! The new administration seems to be breathing new life into Washington - we're seeing the first signs of innovation in Obama's pledge to integrate Gov 2.0 technologies into the way government does business, much like he did (quite successfully) during his presidential campaign. With healthcare reform also on the horizon, Merritt Group and its clients will be anxiously awaiting some of the changes ahead, as they relate to continued innovations in new medicines and devices, safety of drugs, and greater adoption of health IT.
